Alla mezzanotte di ieri (lunedì 23 marzo), è scaduto il termine di presentazione dei lavori per l'Hokuto Destiny ULTIMATE Contest. Ecco quindi il riepilogo finale dei lavori presentati dai 10 volenterosi partecipanti; colgo l'occasione per ringraziarli nuovamente per aver dato vita, con le loro opere, ad un altro contest spettacolare.
I 3 giurati Marco Albiero, Alessandro Boni, Fabrizio De Fabritiis si dedicheranno alla valutazione dei singoli disegni nelle prossime ore, restate quindi sintonizzati per conoscere la classifica definitiva con il nome del vincitore.
I lavori sono elencati in ordine di pubblicazione sul forum e corredati dalla breve presentazione che i partecipanti hanno fatto delle loro opere, cliccando sulle immagini e possibile vederne l'ingrandimento nel formato originale.

BusterGarou here, my artwork for the contest is done! Painted with acrylics on a canvas board.
Since the theme is "The Destiny of Hokuto", I wanted to portray a scene in which Kenshiro "awakens" to his destiny as the savior of the wasteland, refusing to die after Shin's abduction of Yuria and thus breaking the shackles of death. Raoh's look in the background foreshadows his fate of having to kill his brothers as the last successor to Hokuto. There is anger of rivalry in his eyes, but also sadness, as he knows the inevitable fate of one of the two brothers having to fall eventually.
The white birds, doves, also have meaning behind them. Doves are traditionally seen as a symbol of hope in christianity, thus representing Kenshiro as the last hope the post-apocalyptic world has left.

First... Thanks for this opportunity and great contest.
How the main theme is The Destiny of Hokuto, for me, the moment you can see it on manga is in the last pages of vol. 27, when after see Lin, Bart and Mamiya, Kenshiro comes back to desert ... cause the Destiny of Hokuto is always fight.

Odio, amore, morte, distruzione e speranza. Tutto questo è quello che ha reso Hokuto no Ken un'opera senza tempo e senza, per questo, invecchiare mai. Ecco perché ho voluto omaggiare con questo disegno dal tratto giovane quell'ormai vecchio film del 1986 in cui per la prima volta Kenshiro poteva esprimere tutta la sua potenza senza limitazioni di tempo e trama. Questo disegno è un omaggio ai maestri Hara, Buronson, Suda e Hayama e allo stesso tempo a quei personaggi che sono stati capaci di rappresentare un'intera generazione di nuovi adulti. Questo disegno è dedicato a coloro che ancora oggi, di fronte alle difficoltà, si stagliano forti per affrontarle a testa alta. Il pugno di Ken è il nostro pugno, e insieme a lui combatteremo sempre! A Hokuto no Ken. A tutti noi.

Hate, love, death, destruction and hope. That’s what made Hokuto no Ken a timeless masterpiece.
I wanted to honor, with this fresh style illustration, that old movie from 1986 where Kenshiro could show all of his power without limitation of time and plot.
This illustration is a tribute to Hara, Buronson, Suda, Hayama sensei and at the same time all of those characters who have been able to represent an entire generation of new adults.
The illustration is dedicated to whom that still stand out and proudly face everyday troubles.
Ken’s fist is our fist, and together we stand and fight! To Hokuto no Ken…to Us.

Il destino di Hokuto è stato sempre collegato a quello del mondo. I Maestri sono chiamati a salvare l'umanità, e Kenshiro ne è consapevole e prende il ruolo di nuovo salvatore.
Ma Kenshiro sa anche che, necessariamente, un nuovo Maestro è necessario per continuare la sua opera. L'ultimo discendente della Dinastia è Ryu, il figlio di Raoh, affidato alle cure di Barga.
Dopo anni passati a combattere nelle terre selvagge, Ken torna nel luogo del suo addestramento, prendendo con sè il nipote, assieme a Barga e suo figlio Shingo. E lì, viene raggiunto da Bart, anche lui con le sette stelle - auto inflitte per ingannare Borg - e inizia l'addestramento dei nuovi eroi.
Ryu è "avvantaggiato" dal sangue di Raoh che scorre nelle sue vene, ma Bart e Shingo possono diventare degni combattenti, sotto la guida di Kenshiro (per l'occasione disegnato con la barba e le vesti di Ryuken).

Per questa composizione ho evitato appositamente di rappresentare Ken alle prese con gli avversari più forti e famosi della serie, optando per quei personaggi secondari che da molti vengono snobbati o addirittura dimenticati.
Tra le centinaia di figure a cui far riferimento nell' intera storia, ho scelto i mostri generati da Amiba: personaggi presenti nella serie tv negli episodi 33 e 34, ma non nel manga come nel caso dei semisconosciuti "serpente" ( quello con la pelle azzurra ) e la " mantide" ( in alto a sinistra con l' occhio coperto dalla bandana ), che assolvono gli ordini più disparati assegnatigli dal loro padrone, come ad esempio trovare nuove cavie per i perversi esperimenti dalla quale hanno avuto origine anche le loro caratteristiche sovrumane, disseminando terrore al villaggio dei Miracoli e nelle zone limitrofe, o fermare l' epica avanzata di Ken verso la fortezza dove risiede appunto colui che ha infangato l' immagine di Toki e quella della Divina Scuola di Hokuto con le sue azioni atroci e vigliacche.
For this composition I avoided specifically to represent Ken struggling with stronger opponents and famous series, opting for those secondary characters that are snubbed by many or even forgotten.
Among the hundreds of figures in the whole story, I chose the monsters generated by Amiba, characters featured in the TV series in the episodes 33 and 34, but not in the manga as in the case of the little-known "snake" (the one with the skin blue) and "Son" (top left with the 'eye covered by the bandana), which perform many different orders assigned by their master, such as finding new guinea pigs for the perverse experiments from which they originated also their superhuman characteristics, disseminating terror to the village of Miracles and the surrounding areas, or stop the determined Ken reaching the fortress where the one who has besmirched the image of Toki and that of the Divine School of Hokuto with its atrocious actions and cowardly.

Io ho finito stamattina... ecco il mio Hokuto Destiny :)
Il Destino di Hokuto è per me quel Destino che riporta Kenshiro su Shura, la terra dove è nato!
Un Destino che lo porterà a combattere contro suo fratello Hyo. E contro Kaio il dominatore della terra dei demoni.
Quest'ultimo combattimento sarà decisivo per decidere il Destino delle due arti di Hokuto. L'Hokuto Shinken di Kenshiro e l'Hokuto Ryuken di Kaioh.
